Barcelona's Unbeaten Run Ends in Dramatic Clasico Loss
Barcelona's 15-match unbeaten streak came to an end in spectacular fashion on Sunday in the Clasico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The hosts took the lead through Karim Benzema in the 12th minute and doubled their advantage through Fede Valverde in the 35th minute. Barcelona pulled one back through Ferran Torres in the 83rd minute, but it was not enough to prevent Real Madrid from extending their lead at the top of the La Liga table.
The defeat was Barcelona's first in all competitions since the 2-1 loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League in October. It also ended their 10-match unbeaten run in La Liga.
Barcelona will look to bounce back from the defeat when they face Villarreal in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
