A Million Ways to Die in the West is a 2014 American Western romantic action comedy film directed by Seth MacFarlane and written by MacFarlane Alec Sulkin. the film stars MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried, Neil Patrick Harris, Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson. the film tells the story of a cowardly farmer who begins to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, but must put his new-found courage to the test when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives in town.

The film was released in the United States on May 30, 2014, and received generally positive reviews from critics. It grossed over $43 million worldwide against a production budget of $40 million.
