Happy Face Crowned 2022's Ugliest Dog

The annual contest, held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California, celebrates the beauty in all dogs.

On July 24, 2022, a 17-year-old Chinese Crested-Chihuahua mix named Mr. Happy Face took home the coveted title of 2022's World's Ugliest Dog.

The contest, which celebrates unique-looking dogs and promotes the adoption of animals, saw dogs of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds competing for the prize.

NBC's Kerry Sanders served as a judge at the event, and helped crown the hairless Mr. Happy Face as the winner.
