Manchester City's FA Cup Hopes Alive After Late Silva Goal

Manchester City's double hopes are alive after they beat Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute, just as it looked like the match was heading for extra-time.

The win means that City will now face Liverpool in the final on May 28. It would be their second trophy of the season, having already won the Premier League. Chelsea, meanwhile, will now focus on their remaining Premier League fixtures and the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 29.

It was a cagey affair in the first half, with both sides struggling to create clear-cut chances. Chelsea had the better of the possession, but City looked dangerous on the counter-attack. The best chance of the half fell to Chelsea's Mason Mount, but he fired wide from inside the area.

The second half was more open, with both sides creating chances. City took the lead in the 70th minute when Silva fired home from close range after a cross from Kevin De Bruyne. Chelsea pushed for an equalizer, but they could not find a way past City's defense.

The win means that City are now one step closer to completing a domestic double. They will be confident of beating Liverpool in the final, having already beaten them twice in the Premier League this season.
